Why do people blog? Is it an egocentric endeavor? We think we have something so important to say that it simply has to be put out there for all of cyberspace to read? we share inner thoughts that most likely would never be said out loud to another person. We have this burning desire to express ourselves on a regular basis. This is when the clicking of the keyboard becomes super loud with passion! but really, are we talking to ourselves? to others? which others? and where's the response?
Living alone and typing in the extreme quiet I do feel like I am talking to myself. There is still that glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, someone will read this and comment something positive or encouraging. Or better yet, engage in some meaningful dialog. well now that's a reach.

Why Bother? Because it is history. The history of you and the history of your family and the history of your culture. All is history within History. Oh Bother.
It is a chance for you to free your mind of the clutter but, also for others to get a glimpse of the true you. A person will often be more open in a blog than they would ever be in actual life. Not to mention some topics of conversation may never arise in a common dialog. It is also a good practice to exercise the brain daily and strengthen your use of the English language. As for your audience - they may be entertained, enlightened or even learn something new. And, of course, some people think the world revolves around them and it is their job to remind us of that fact. Haha. Blog on, sister!
People make blogs for all different kinds of reasons. My reason is just to put it out there, just in case anyone happens to want to peak. They rarely comment, but that's ok, it's not what motivates me. I guess the real question for you is, why do you do it? Fun? Release? Networking? Not sure? All of the above? (I choose all of the above.)
